Absolutely loving Erykah’s “Window Seat“.
The first single for her upcoming (march 30th) fifth studio album:
New Amerykah, Part II: Return of the Ankh.

He took my breathe away in Paradiso, back in September was it?
Regardless, he takes my breathe away. Whether it’s live or not..
He’s just so… mmmmm! His voice is so… aaaaah! Can’t even describe it.
Definitely had his music on during those late night.. ehm, too much info? Haha!
Anyway, above the video for “Code” a track produced by Flying Lotus (who will be in Sugar Factory on February the 19th) off James’ “Blackmagic” album. Jose will be back in Amsterdam on March 30th 2010. Think I’ll be there and let him take my breathe away all over again!

Back in December I did a post on “Music Cultures Exposed“. Remember that? If not, read the post and refresh your memory. Well, the dates have been set and the first (of 3 nights) is next Friday, February the 5th! MCE will be kicking off with the Hip-Hop genre, and you’ll be seeing the photographers interpretation of that. The night will be hosted at De Bonte Zwaan (Stavangerweg 890) in Amsterdam. Most important thing to know? The whole night comes for FREE! Free entrance, free drinks (!!!) and the freedom to feast your eyes at a beautiful expo. No further persuasion needed. So come on over and show your support next Friday. I’m there, you should be there too!

Erykah Badu ft. Lil Wayne – Jump Up in the Air (Stay There)

Interesting combo…
Erykah Badu and Lil Wayne join forces to create “Jump Up in the Air (Stay There)“. Which apparently is only one of the 10 which will be released.
The song is stuck in my head already, a true Badu sound. Looking foward to Erykah’s Amerykah pt.2: Return of the Ankh, which will hit stores March 30th.
And then come back to our lil country Ms. Erykah!

I was always down with Nina Sky.
They’re cute, have great style and I loooove their tattoo’s (a few of my own soon!).
Check out their video for “Beautiful People“, containing footage from the girls on the road and in the studio. Keep an eye out for their upcoming sophomore album “Starting Today“.

I also seem to enjoy those boy vs. girl tracks.
He said, she said stuff. Comparisons and all.
Like:

he: I said her from the city, so her got to be witty witty
she: I said him from the country, so him got to be funky funky

she: I met a guy at the club. I let him know I’m in love
he:I met a girl at the bar. I let her know who you are

Yeah, those kinda tracks always work for me.
