Chi-town is taking over in Amsterdam this month, with Lupe Fiasco, The Cool Kids and Common, amongst others, visiting us! On the 15th of July it’s time for Kidz in the Hall, with a performance in the Paradiso. Producer Double O and rapper Naledge form Kidz in the Hall who made their debut in October 2006 with their album School Was My Hustle under the powerhouse record label Rawkus Records, who was responsible for introducing artists such as Mos Def, Talib Kweli and Pharoahe Monch. Their latest album The In Crowd was recorded in Just Blaze’s Bassline studio, where Double O had his internship.
The In Crowd has an eclectic sound with different streams of Hip Hop but also rock, electro funk and a blend of Newave and Hip Hop. The second album was released with Duck Down Records, who are known for Buckshot, 9th wonder, Smiff N wessun, Sean Price and Black Moon. On the album you can hear collabo’s with: Estelle, Travis McCoy (Gym Class Heroes), Phonte (Little Brother), Black Milk, Guilty Simpson, The Cool Kids, Buckshot and Sean Price.

On the 15th of July De Lowdown presents in cooperation with SevenThirty the Kidz in the Hall concert in the Paradiso Amsterdam. Rotterdam MC/producer Aimé Cain from the production team Spaceshipstatus, will be the opening act. And the mood will be set by the DJ duo The Superblenders.
